Where has the school year gone? The administrators, faculty and staff of Vidalia Lower Elementary would like to thank you for the opportunity of working with your child during this 2012-2013 school year. The students have learned so much since they entered through our doors on August 10th. Please continue to encourage your child to read and write stories while out of school these next few months. Work on numbers and math facts. Practice telling time and counting money. Encourage your child to read signs and menus and the newspaper. Help your child keep a journal of daily activities and vacation trips. Sign up for the summer reading program at the Concordia Parish Library. Learning should never take a vacation, so please help your child maintain the skills they have learned while out of school this summer. We wish our students and their families, a very safe and happy summer vacation! Upcoming Dates: May 21st to 23rd - Half Days (Early Dismissal each day) May 23rd - Last Day of School August 9th - New school year begins
